Whether you are new to yoga or a seasoned yogini, prenatal yoga is a wonderful way to connect with your body, your baby, and other moms-to-be.
Our 4-week Prenatal Yoga Series is designed with working moms in mind, though all women are welcome. You can sign up for one series or continue working with Skye throughout your pregnancy.
Yoga is both healthy and safe for you and your baby. You will learn poses and breathing techniques to help support you and your body?s changing needs during your pregnancy. You will also be taught in small classes, surrounded by other expecting moms. Every class will contain poses that encourage strength and movement, stretch and mobility, and rest and relaxation.
Topics covered to include:
- Pranayama and pelvic floor awareness: Learn how to use the breath to reduce stress, increase circulation and prepare for labor.
- Meditation and bodily awareness: Learn how to use meditation and bodily awareness to calm the mind and hear the wisdom of your body.
- Labor positions: Learn many different positions to use during labor to create the most comfort and ease.
- Making connections: Meeting other new moms and creating a social network is a proven way to stave off postpartum depression. You will learn from the wisdom of other women who are on their 2nd or 3rd pregnancy or at a different stage of pregnancy.
