Katie Philbin When people live with true freedom in the body and peace of mind we can be more compassionate, energetic, and spontaneous — and thus contribute positive action and love to our families, communities, and to the world. Hatha Yoga is a scientific and spiritual path to self-realization. It first invigorates on the physical level; corrects and realigns the muscles and bones. This allows the pulmonary (breath) and cardiovascular (blood) systems to function properly with increased vitality and life force. The endocrine system is affected positively, and hormones are produced at correct levels and times. Our hormones affect our psychology; when they are in balance, we feel good. Essentially your Yoga practice begins to illuminate the mind.

Your intelligence concerning the health of your body and mind progresses towards intrinsic. You become aware of exactly what you need to do to maintain inner equilibrium. The more you practice fine-tuning your health, the more you are at peace with yourself and with the world around you. This is Yoga.
