Rea was first drawn to the physical workout when she found yoga, and was satisfied with breaking a good sweat after working long hours in the corporate world. Her curiosity to the other limbs of yoga awakened with time, now she enjoys not only Vinyasa Flow and Ashtanga Yoga but Iyengar and restorative classes as well as meditation, Yoga Nidra and Pranayama (breath work).
Inspired by the power of yoga, Rea left her successful career to learn more about it and dedicate herself to teach and guide students. She is always a student herself too – after graduating at YogaTree she continues to evolve her practice and teaching, studying with her teacher Jason Crandell. Rea also loves to attend workshops with well-known teachers from various lineages.
Her passion is yoga assisting, where she emphasizes proper alignment. Rea is the Head of Yoga Assistants at the popular Yoga on the Labyrinth classes at Grace Cathedral with Darren Main.
Rea’s vinyasa flow classes focus on moving with the breath to cultivate grounding and calming of the mind. She creates thoughtful and creative sequences combined with attention to alignment. Rea encourages her students to find their edges and work with it, as well as find strength, flexibility and balance in their practice.
